What is The Nerd Collective?

We’re building a Web3 home for all the nerds out there. A place where every nerd can be their awesome, authentic self. Where you can proudly let your nerd flag fly and be celebrated for it.

Our tools, content, and community — all accessible to owners of our beautiful digital collectible — will inspire you to dive deep into the things you love while embracing the new freedom that decentralizing technologies make possible. We'll equip our members with tools to navigate the Web3 space, as we collectively define the next evolution of both ourselves and the web.

When was The Nerd Collective founded?

We first opened our discord to a select group in January, 2022.

Project funds

The vast majority of project funds will immediately be converted into USD and placed into The Nerd Collective LLC bank account. The goal is to de-risk from market fluctuations as much as possible.

Royalties

Our royalties are set at 6.28% of secondary purchases. A portion of these royalties go to our artist every month.

GENESIS PFP

What is the Genesis PFP?

Our Genesis PFP is a digital collectible. A stunning hand-drawn rendering of a "Nerd". Each Nerd NFT is unique and randomly generated drawing from over 250 traits. Each trait is designed to reflect who our community is (see sample images below).

Your nerd gives you access to gated content, exclusive nerd-centric channels in our discord and access to The Nerd Collective App.

How can I get on the allowlist for the Genesis PFP?

We are distributing allowlist spots through a number of channels. Keep an eye out for these:

• Giveaways in the Discords of partner projects to their token holders
• Giveaways in The Nerd Collective Discord
• Giveaways on twitter through @NerdCollective_
• Giveaways on twitter through various accounts

What utility does the Genesis PFP have?

We are constantly working to provide as much value as possible to our token holders. Here's what you can expect for utility from the Genesis PFP at launch:

• Ability to participate in Treasure Hunts

When is the mint for the Genesis PFP?

The Genesis PFP will start minting on November 15th, 2022.

Anyone on the allowlist can mint as many as they want (if supplies last)

Phase 3 - Founders Token Claim
November 15, 2022 4:00 PM - November 16, 2022 9:00 AM
Anyone with a Founders Token can claim their free (gas only) mint.

Phase 4 - Public

What is the total supply for the Genesis PFP?

6,283

There are 9 individuals who completed all 10 phases of the treasure hunt. As a reward, each of these individuals will be minting a 1 of 1 token designed by them. Each of these tokens will also have an exclusive tattoo trait of a pirate flag emoji.

Project minted Genesis PFP tokens

The project will be minting 120 free tokens. These tokens will be used in giveaways, team compensation and some will be put in the project vault. Distribution of these tokens is at the sole discretion of the team.

What is the Founders Token?

The Nerd Collective Founders Token is a free (gas only) token offered to early project supporters. Founders tokens will continue to evolve over time, providing holders with exclusive access and benefits.

To start, token holders will receive these benefits:

• Access to exclusive founders-only discord channels
• One free genesis PFP token per Founders Token

What's the total supply of the Founders Token?

There are 628 Founders Tokens.

How can I purchase a Founders Token?

The mint for the Founders Token is already completed and thus the Founders Token allowlist is no longer open.

You can purchase a founders token on the secondary market.

What was the mint price for the Founders Token?

The Founders Token was a free mint. Minting is now closed.

What is the Data 100 trait?

100 of the Founders Tokens have a trait "Data 100". These were given to the first 100 people in the discord. The Data 100 token gives you access to exclusive Data 100 channels and access to the Nerd Collective Team.

Members of the Data 100 have been brought into almost every aspect of the project from trait ideation, to launch planning.

We will continue to include holders of Data 100 tokens in many of our decision-making processes moving forward.

When will the art be revealed?

We have not yet set a date for art reveal. All tokens will be minted with a placeholder image.

Does the Founders Token get burned when I mint the Genesis PFP?

No, the Founders Token is not burned during the Genesis PFP mint.

THE HUNT

What is The Hunt?

The Hunt is a “treasure-hunt” style game open to anyone who owns a Nerd Collective Nerd. It is a series of clues, questions, puzzles and other fun games that lead each player on a journey. As you race against other hunters in search of the grand prize you’ll find other side-quests and rewards along your way.

Who can join The Hunt?

Anyone with a Nerd can join The Hunt

Can I use a Founders Token to join The Hunt?

Unfortunately you cannot.

Do I need to have done any of the previous phases of the hunt to join?

No! All are welcome! In-fact it may be an advantage to have fresh eyes!

Do I have to be on a team?

No! You are more than welcome to participate in The Hunt as an individual.

How do I get started?

The Hunt is open to anyone who holds a nerd. However, there may be some things unlocked and accessible to those who hold certain nerds or other Nerd Collective tokens.
